Vicken Sonentz Papazian has been a licensed attorney in the State of California since 1991 and in the District of Columbia since 1993. He worked as the executive director of a grassroots lobbying organization from 1991 to 1994 where he worked closely with the White House and Congress on foreign policy matters, before returning to California in 1995 to resume his practice of law. From 2000 through 2007 he worked as an attorney in a nationally recognized law firm focusing primarily on criminal defense and civil rights litigation. From 2007 to 2025 he worked as a solo practitioner managing a wide array of civil and criminal matters before becoming of counsel to LA Injury Attorneys in 2026.

Sonentz Papazian has appeared on local and national television opining on trending legal and foreign policy matters and has been invited to lecture in colleges and universities on international law and foreign policy related issues.

Sonentz Papazian obtained his bachelor’s degree from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine in 1984 and his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California in 1991. In 1989, Sonentz Papazian also studied international law at the University of Florence in Florence, Italy in a program sponsored by the Dickinson School of Law of Carlisle, Pennsylvania (now known as “Penn State Dickinson Law”).
